Philips Hue Smart Plug Review: the socket connected to control any lamp (and not only!)

Philips Hue now offers a wide range of bulbs and lights of all kinds to control all its luminaires. However, a socket was missing to control a lamp on a stand, where it is sometimes impossible to replace the bulb for example. Announced a few months ago, the Philips Hue Smart Plug is finally available for sale to meet this need.
I. Unboxing the Philips Hue Smart Plug
The Philips Hue Smart Plug comes in a packaging that is true to the brand:
Inside, you will find the Philips Hue plug, accompanied by a small manual.
We have here a take in perfect French format:
Although it is less compact than a Fibaro Wallplug, it is still very small, with dimensions of 5.1cm on each side. Able to support up to 2300w, it will be wide for the use cases ;-)
On the top, a small button will allow you to manually activate the plug if needed, without having to use the application. A small led will also light up green or red to indicate its status:
On the communication side, this new product integrates Bluetooth and ZigBee. It will therefore be able to work simply with a smartphone equipped with Bluetooth. But it will also be able to be integrated into a Hue installation revolving around the Hub, and that's where it will find all its interest.
Not much more to say. The grip is solid, the plastic is quality, we have a simple and clean grip. Let's move on to its installation!
